Why resin bound is SuDS-compliant and permeable

A correctly laid resin bound surface is porous — rainwater drains straight through the stone and into the base below rather than running off onto the highway. That means it meets SuDS requirements for driveways draining onto the road, so you do not need planning permission and you do not need a separate soakaway. Loose gravel jobs and standard tarmac cannot claim that.

The finish is only as good as the base

Resin bound can be laid over existing tarmac or concrete if it is sound, or over a fresh open-graded asphalt base we lay from scratch.
