When a garden needs more than one thing doing, it is quicker to plan it as one job. Mark walks the garden with you, works out what should change and what should stay, and gives you one quote for the lot.
What a full transformation involves
- Clearing old lawn, shrubs, rubble and broken paving, and taking the waste away
- Levelling the ground, or terracing a slope with sleepers or walls
- Drainage for boggy areas, with soakaways or channel drains by the house
- A patio or decking for seating and dining
- New turf or artificial grass
- Raised beds in railway sleepers, gravel borders and planting areas
- New fencing and gates
The order of work
Clearance and levelling come first, then drainage and any walls, then the hard surfaces and fencing, and finally the turf and planting. Working in that order means nothing gets dug up twice and finished areas are not damaged.
How long it takes
